Holiday Treats- Oct

  1. Chocolate Morsel Pie

    Mix in a bowl:
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 cup melted butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Fold in:
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1 cup chocolate chips

    Pour into a deep pie shell and bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

  2. Peanut Clusters
    1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 bag butterscotch chips
    1 bag peanut butter chips
    1 can peanuts

    Melt the bags of chips together in microwave or over stove (double pot method, using steam to melt the chocolate, not the flame. Also, don't let water touch the bottom of the bowl holding chips.) When melted, pour in the peanuts and stir. Using spoon drop clusters onto a wax lined cookie sheet. Can let sit or put in freezer/fridge for immediate readiness (+/- 3 min to firm in freezer).
